Lizzie graduated from the University of Bristol in 2011, with degrees in Veterinary Science and Animal Behaviour & Welfare. She has over 10 years of experience as a veterinary surgeon, working in practices across the UK. She's recently completed her research on brachycephalic health and welfare at the Royal Veterinary College, and is also an accomplished veterinary writer. Passionate about animal health and education, she enjoys creating accessible, trustworthy content for pet owners and professionals alike.

Lizzie has two cats. Both were strays, brought in to vet practices where she was working, and ended up coming home with her. Pi is a naughty tortie (featured in her author photo), and Jazzy is a handsome grey tabby. Lizzie likes spending time with her family out in the beautiful Forest of Dean, where they call home.
